NEW WEBSITE LAUNCH FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION

After a period of evolution and expansion for our non-profit client, ForHearts Worldwide, this spring we launched their new website, ForHearts.org. For almost 40 years, ForHearts Worldwide has been a non-profit organization that saves lives by creating a network for providing implantable cardiovascular devices for people in need in developing countries around the world. Harnessing their power of giving to heart centers across the world, ForHearts expanded their services and broadened their mission this year with the hope of saving more lives outside their previous specialty. Thus, it was the natural time to develop a new website to showcase their mission’s growth while expanding their reach to new donors.

In an effort to optimize the website for non-profit necessities, the design and functionality lead viewers to the most critical information and calls to action. By placing easy-to-use donation forms and buttons across all pages of the site, the design offers a practical and user-friendly way to help our client achieve their brand mission: collecting donations to save lives. Sharing their brand mission clearly and evocatively was our top priority.

ONE QUICK WAY TO PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS ON LINKEDIN

Throughout the years, as we have managed many different LinkedIn company pages for our clients, we have noticed one small but significant setting that is usually not configured – Employee Verification.

Employee Verification allows you to add an email domain to limit Job Posting and the My Company tab to verified employees.

While most businesses may assume this is a default setting, many would be surprised to learn it is not. Without configuring these settings, someone could pretend that they work for your business and even post job listings as if they were your business!

A couple of months ago, we had a situation where one of our clients started receiving messages from candidates telling them that they had applied for a position on LinkedIn and, upon applying, were asked to fill out a credit application. It turns out the company was not even hiring for that position, someone had created a false job posting, and there were over 35 applications! Thankfully, our team was able to report the job listing to LinkedIn as fraud and it was eventually removed a few days later. However, there was no way to contact the “applicants” and no real recourse from LinkedIn either.

This is a small but powerful example of how a scam like this could hurt your business and reputation with potential employees, especially when the setting is so easy to set up.

One thing that’s important to note is that once this setting is turned on, it can never be turned off. So you can add or remove additional domains, but you cannot turn off the employee verification setting.

Go to your LinkedIn company page in Super Admin View and click Admin Tools in the Top Right.

In the dropdown menu, click the link that says “Employee Verification”

Then on the page that loads, click the “Turn On Verification” button.

A new popup window will appear where you can add your company’s domain and there will be two options. One setting makes it so that only people with a registered company email can say that they work for you, and the other makes it so that only people with a registered company email can post jobs for you.

Once you have added your domain, click the ‘save’ button and you are ready to go!

If you manage multiple LinkedIn Company pages, we strongly advise you to go into each and turn on this feature.

The company’s goal was to grow brand awareness and reach a broader audience, specifically the Hispanic community of Tampa Bay, to appeal to more potential customers. We helped Agentes de Accidentes create a bilingual website by using professional human translators and custom plugins to have both the Spanish and English languages prominent on the site. Now, this website can communicate effectively to two different audiences without using a machine translator, such as Google Translate. In addition, this translation enhancement helped increase organic search traffic to the website by 190% compared to the previous year by bringing a new audience to the site. While working with local events company Bay Festivals, our BrandMinded team was given the challenge to launch a new website and social campaign promoting Tampa Bay’s first All-American Barbeque Festival sponsored by Budweiser. With a short timeline to gather sponsors and drive ticket sales, our team got to work on creating engaging and customized content to increase brand awareness and generate local buzz.

Our team researched competitors in the area, successful past festivals, and trending content (i.e., reels, memes, and gifs) that would capture the attention of our target audience and convey a fun, memorable experience for those who attended the All American Barbeque Fest. In just 60 days, BrandMinded created and published 218 pieces of unique content on both Facebook and Instagram – gathering 329,50K unique impressions and a 94% engagement rate, leading to quality results.
