Position Summary:

As a full-time Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our social media endeavors, creating and executing content that resonates with our clients’ target audiences. Your role will encompass handling multiple content calendars each month, crafting engaging posts, actively engaging with our social media community, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize campaign success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Content Ideation and Planning: Brainstorm and generate creative content ideas that resonate with the target audience. Plan social media content calendars to ensure a consistent and timely flow of content across various social media platforms.
  • Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging and compelling content for social media platforms tailored to various industries, including medical, fitness, interior design, products, nonprofits, and more. Create text posts, images, videos, infographics, and interactive media that resonate with each industry’s target audience.
  • Content Strategy: Create social media content calendars and execute content plans aligned with the brand’s marketing objectives and target audience demographics. Craft tailored messages for each platform to ensure relevant content delivery.
  • Social Scheduling and Publishing: Utilize agency tools to schedule and publish social media content across various platforms for each industry, ensuring timely and strategic content delivery.
  • Social Monitoring: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from the social media community in a timely and professional manner.
  • Social Listening and Growth Engagement: Monitor social media platforms for mentions of brands, track competitor activities, and stay informed about industry trends to inform future content strategies. Develop industry-specific strategies to grow social media followings, increase reach, and attract new audiences. Foster meaningful interactions with followers across different industries, building relationships and increasing engagement through likes, shares, comments, and mentions.
  • Social Media Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics for social media campaigns across industries, providing regular reports on performance and recommending improvements tailored to each industry’s needs.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Coordinate with other team members to ensure social media efforts align with the unique marketing objectives of each industry.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for social media campaigns and content specific to each industry and platform.
  • Influencer Marketing: Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers from different industries to promote brands and expand reach to new and relevant audiences.
  • Social Media Compliance: Ensure all social media content adhere to relevant regulations and industry-specific guidelines.
  • After-Hours and Weekend Monitoring: May require checking and monitoring social media posts after hours and on weekends for proper deployment, and timely responses to address any emerging issues or opportunities.
  • Participate in Client Meetings: Take an active role in client meetings to discuss social media concepts and strategies, understand their specific needs and preferences, and provide valuable insights and recommendations tailored to each client’s industry and target audience.
  • Social Media Trend Analysis: Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices relevant to each industry to continuously refine strategies and stay ahead of the competition.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Communication Skills – Ability to express ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Research Skills – Ability to conduct systematic investigations, gather relevant information, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions to develop effective digital marketing strategies .
  • Passionate, Self-motivated, detailed oriented, and ability to work independently, meet deadlines effectively and multitask.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of various social media platforms.
  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality.
  • Proficient with graphic and multimedia software and applications such as the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify trends and extract insights from analytics and data.

Bonus Skills:

  • Knowledge of WordPress including basic understanding of CSS and HTML/HTML5.
  • Knowledge of Google applications such as Google Ads and Analytics

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Candidate: BA/BS in Business, Mass Media/Communications or similar with an emphasis on Marketing and Advertising/Media Arts or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Digital Agency setting or an equivalent combined internship experience.
